Go Daddy is officially one of the "Valley's Best Places to Work," according to the Business Journal. The world's largest domain registrar and hosting provider, based in Scottsdale, has ranked on the distinctive list every year since 2004.
The "Best Places to Work in the Valley" ranking is based on employee surveys which measure retention rate, manager effectiveness, team efficiency, employee alignment with company goals, trust in senior leadership and trust in fellow coworkers, among other performance categories. The data is compiled by Quantum Market Research and finalists are put into categories based on company size.
"I learned long ago, happy employees make for happy customers and that's good business," said Go Daddy CEO and Founder Bob Parsons. "We always want Go Daddy to be a fun and rewarding place to be -- that's why we offer such an outstanding employment package."
It's not difficult to be enthused by the prizes and incentives Go Daddy delivers its top performers. These include mortgages paid for a year, cars, motorcycles, expense-paid vacations and trips inside the company's "cash-blowing machine," all for which Go Daddy pays the taxes.
Go Daddy is headquartered in Scottsdale, Ariz. and has more than 2,400 employees. The majority are located in offices throughout the Valley, including Scottsdale, Tempe, Gilbert and Phoenix. Go Daddy also has offices in Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Denver, Colo. and Washington, D.C. and a new European data center in the Netherlands.
Go Daddy defied this year's tough economic climate with unprecedented growth and a 22 percent revenue gain this year over last. To reward a job well done, Go Daddy is throwing a huge holiday party at Chase Field in downtown Phoenix for all its employees. Out-of-state employees and their guests will receive airfare and hotel accommodations - all at Go Daddy's expense - to attend the Valley shindig Saturday.
