Web Host GoDaddy Enhances Security Offerings with SiteLock TrueShield and TrueSpeed
Web host and domain name provider GoDaddy has enhanced its security services by offering SiteLock’s TrueShield and TrueSpeed. Recognized as the world’s largest domain name provider and one of the world's leading hosting providers, GoDaddy has headquarters in Scottsdale, Arizona, United States. Established in 1997, the company has a global presence and specializes in providing services that enable smaller and medium-sized companies to establish a viable, cost-effective internet presence. Its partnership with SiteLock offers its customers “a more comprehensive security offering”.

SiteLock, which also has headquarters in Scottsdale, Arizona, bills itself as a “global leader in website security”. The company currently protects around eight million websites with services that include malware scanning, vulnerability detection, automatic malware removal and an advanced web application firewall (WAF) alongside PCI Compliance solutions. TrueShield is a Web Application Firewall (WAF) which provides an “advanced layer of protection” for websites. It evaluates traffic and “proactively prevent hackers or malicious bots from breaking into websites”. TrueSpeed is a “global Content Delivery Network (CDN) and advanced content optimization technology” that increases the speed of websites.

"Many people may assume that security breaches only happen to large corporations, but in reality small businesses are just as vulnerable to attacks as any other business," explained GoDaddy’s Vice President Security Wayne Thayer. "Our partnership with SiteLock arms those business owners with tools that make it easy for them to keep their websites secure, and ensure they continue to perform quickly and reliably”.
