Host1Plus has partnered with DDoS attack protection services provider Staminus Communications. The company, which has headquarters in London, UK (with some activity managed by facilities in Kaunas, Lithuania and Frankfurt, Germany), provides a range of services including Windows and Linux cloud hosting, shared hosting, and VPS and reseller hosting alongside dedicated server options. The company also offers SSL certificates and domain name registration. Its partnership with Staminus adds "advanced hybrid DDoS protection" to its all its "VPS locations", except those in Frankfurt, Germany.
Established in 1998, Staminus has headquarters in Newport Beach, California, USA. The company caters to a global customer base with secured hosting services and "the world's most advanced DDoS mitigation". The DDoS protection that Staminus provides will offer Host1Plus customers an extra layer of DDoS protection and DDoS attack mitigation without additional cost. It also provides protection against threats such as, SNMP reflection, DNS amplification, SSDP reflection, TCP volumetric attacks and NTP amplification.
"Clients depend on their hosts to keep their Internet presence available nearly 100% of the time, not 90%, 80%, and definitely not anything less," explained Matt Mahvi, the CEO of Staminus. "Host1Plus is taking all the right steps to keep their clients' assets online, protecting the businesses in their care from the inconvenience and losses of DDoS attacks". "Over the year, the frequency of malicious attempts to interfere and make server and network resources unavailable to users has significantly increased," added Host1Plus' CTO and co-founder Vincentas Grinius. "We cannot turn a blind eye to malign actions that damage the quality of our services and corrupt our reputation".
