Web Host HostIgnition Donates Sales Revenue to WorldVision’s Disaster Relief

May 22, 2008 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Web host HostIgnition is to donate sales revenue to earthquake relief, the company announced yesterday. According to the company, the move is a “response to serious earthquakes happening in China and other natural disasters around the world”.

The company will donate all revenue generated from May 1, 2008 to June 30, 2008 to WorldVision’s Disaster Relief.

"The people who all of a sudden lost their home and families deserve to get help," said HostIgnition’s Operations Director, Vincent Yip. "We encourage anyone who has spare change to contribute to the relief." To increase the amount donated, HostIgnition “encourages potential customers to sign up before June 30”. All new accounts receive the usual 30-day free trial.

HostIgnition will donate the amount they will pay after the free trial in advance. This means that, for example, when a customer orders a LiteFire account, the monthly amount will be donated to WorldVision before the 30-day free trial ends. According to the company, “even if the customer chooses to cancel before the 30-day free trial, he or she will not be charged for the donation”.

"We just want to encourage anyone who needs Linux web hosting to try us out. By just ordering an account from us, you will automatically be helping the people in China, and other countries who need it," added Mr. Yip. "While we are confident you will choose to stay with us, regardless of your decision, we will donate on your behalf."
