Web Host LeaseWeb USA Buys Shore.net
LeaseWeb USA, the US subsidiary of web host LeaseWeb, has bought Lynn, Massachusetts-based web host Shore.net. The move adds over 500 customers to LeaseWeb USA's customer base. All Shore.net employees have been transferred to LeaseWeb, and the company's customers migrated to LeaseWeb USA’s data center. Financial aspects of the deal have not been released.

LeaseWeb is a major global web hosting player, managing in excess of 60,000 servers. LeaseWeb USA was established in January 2011 with headquarters in Manassas, Virginia, USA alongside its EvoSwitch WDC1 data center. The purchase of Shore.net further expands LeaseWeb's footprint and adds to its capability of being a global provider of quality hosting services that include web hosting, dedicated servers, cloud hosting, colocation, and other services such as domain name registration.

“We have enjoyed substantial organic growth, exceeding 100% annually during the past 3 years," explained LeaseWeb USA's CEO, William L. Schrader. "The Shore.net acquisition is an excellent match for our service offerings and ensures that we are now prepared to continue that growth rate.”
