January 7, 2008 (HOSTSEARCH.COM) Web host and colocation provider Managed Data Holdings has acquired Data393 (http://www.Data393.com), it was reported recently. Financial details were not released. The company, a provider of Internet colocation and web hosting services, has been supported by Great Hill Partners and Catalyst Investors in its acquisition.
Data393 is based in Dever, Colorado, USA and offers managed hosting, managed storage and other managed services alongside collocation through a SAS 70 Type data center. According to Managed Data, the acquisition will increase its data center capacity to more than 60,000 square feet. Mr. Brett Jones has been named General Manager of Data393 as part of the acquisition.
As the demand for IT infrastructure service continues to grow, our search for a buyer with sufficient capital and industry experience to continue Data393s long term growth strategy and data center expansion led us to select Managed Data Holdings, explained Data393s CEO and President, Mr. Lee Woodward. This transaction will allow Data393 to continue its rapid growth and bring additional data center capacity online in early 2008.
Managed Data Holdings is pleased to add Data393 to our growing base of SAS70 Type II data centers, added Mr. Peter Stevenson, Chief Executive Officer of Managed Data Holdings. We are focused on delivering the services that small to medium-sized businesses and enterprise customers need through our network of data centers, and Data393s proven ability to provide those services made it a perfect fit. We believe that moving forward immediately with the expansion of available high density, raised-floor capacity at Data393 and offering customers diverse, multi-site solutions are important additions to an already excellent brand in the marketplace.
Data393 has experienced phenomenal growth in 2007 and we anticipate that will continue into 2008, concluded Mr. Jones. Managed Data Holdings is committed to maintaining the innovative, robust services and outstanding customer service that have allowed Data393 to become a market leader in the Rocky Mountain region, and our ability to now offer customers multi-data center products such as data replication and disaster recovery services should provide added value.
