Media Temple has announced the launch of a new managed cloud hosting service for Amazon Web Services (AWS) customers. The company, which was established in 1998, has headquarters in Culver City, California, USA. It offers a wide range of services which include shared and WordPress hosting, VPS, dedicated hosting, SSL certificates and domain registration. Media Temple caters to around 125,000 individuals and enterprises globally, and employees around 230 staff. It manages around 1.5 million websites, including those for customers that include companies like Red Bull, Nike, Diesel and Under Armour.
AWS has been a leader in the cloud since 2006. The service benefits popular websites/web applications that receive lots of visitors/users. Maximizing AWS' benefits does though require significant cloud architecture and administration expertise. Media Temple’s services provide the support and expertise needed to get the best from AWS. The company is in the AWS Partner Network (APN) - a "global partner program focused on helping partners build a successful AWS-based business by providing business, technical, marketing, and go-to-market support".
