Media Temple has announced that it is now offering “full-featured” WordPress packages. The Los Angeles-based company, which was established in 1998, employs 230 employees in the United States. It offers a range of hosting services to a global customer base of around 125,000 people and businesses of all sizes and manages 1.5 million websites - 300,000 of which are WordPress sites.
Media Temple’s managed WordPress solution was launched in March 2014. The new upgraded version of the solution offers a range of enhancements including Gmail and Google Apps for Work integration. The company’s 4 new plans - Personal, Studio, Agency and Enterprise - were based on feedback received from customers over a 10-month period. The company now offers the “industry’s fastest” WordPress platform and users benefit from WordPress daily backups and ongoing upgrades. Enhancements to the new plans include 1TB of Solid State Drive (SSD) storage and a “revamped onboarding process”. They offer a free domain and built-in SSL certificate for accounts purchased on an annual basis. They also offer SiteLock protection from malware.
“To address our audiences’ specific needs, we have customized our WordPress offering to run the gamut, catering to independent designers, bloggers and creatives, as well as creative agencies and those running large-scale, high-traffic WordPress installations,” explained Media Temple’s Vice President of Product, Brian Kuhn. “With new features and enhancements, users get a highly secure and scalable WordPress hosting solution that is fully optimized to the exacting standards of WordPress professionals.”
