One.com has acquired SYSE - another Scandanavian-based web hosting company. One.com, which was established in Denmark in 2002, is one of Europe’s leading providers. Since inception it has enjoyed continual growth and at present has “1,500,000 customers in more than 140 countries”. The company has a global workforce of over 260 employees and alongside web hosting and domains, specializes in cloud and email options. The acquisition underscores the company’s strong expansion policy and consolidates recent acquisitions.
SYSE represents the second Norwegian web host One.com has acquired since the last quarter of last year when it acquired Digital Garden. Established in 1995, Digital Garden caters to around 12,000 customers offering services that include its proprietary “ultra-scalable and secure web hosting” solution, the ‘Tornado Web Server’. The company also offers white-label solutions to reseller customers. Financial aspects of the deal remain undisclosed.
