The purchase, which began late 2007 and doubles the size of Pro Net Hosting, is now complete. The company has “migrated its customer services and marketing” to the Homepage Universe portal.
"We purchased Homepage Universe for two reasons," explained Pro Net’s President, Mr. Gary Aslanyan. "First, we really liked the user experience they provided -- it's clean and simple, with no pitfalls or hidden conditions. It has the kind of appeal a site like GoDaddy has, but is even easier to use. Customers know exactly what they are getting and what they have to do to get it. But our main reason for the purchase was to grow our business without the usual costs and risks of trying to grow through aggressive marketing. Buying Homepage Universe has doubled our size -- we now provide shared and dedicated hosting for over 100,000 domains."
The combined organization now offers a range of Windows and Linux hosting plans available to every type of customer. The plans offer unlimited bandwidth, a Plesk control panel, and a SiteBuilder with “over 500 free web templates”. "This acquisition gives us a leading-edge presence that lets us compete with the big boys in hosting," added Mr. Aslanyan.
