Psychz has added complimentary Anycast and distributed DDoS protection for customers in the Los Angeles and Dallas areas. The company, which was established in 2001, operates its own infrastructures and networks and maintains its own in-house staff. It offers a range of services, specializing in dedicated hosting, colocation, DDoS mitigation services through its Los Angeles and Dallas data centers. The company’s move covers customers utilizing its colocation packages.
The company’s DDoS protection ensures that DDoS attacks experienced by its customers are distributed to allow customers to remain online. Customers’ content is also protected against natural disasters and network failures. Should the company’s Los Angeles data center be impacted by “an earthquake or other disaster”, its Dallas data center maintains its Los Angeles customers’ services. The company plans an additional center in Ashburn, Virginia as of November 2015, and this will help the company provide even better protection against DDoS attacks, disaster and failures.
"Anycast allows advertising of same IP via globally deployed DNS servers," explained a Psychz spokesperson. "When a visitor comes to your website, they will be sent to the server that geographically closest to them. This will lead to websites that load faster and it also offers lower latency. The service offers multiple fiber wavelengths and can be used on all major providers, including Hurricane, China Unicom, Tinet, Comcast, PCCW, China Telecom, China Next Generation, Zayo, Telia and more".
