Starthosting has announced it has introduced the Pepsite mobile website builder app to the Indian market. Starthosting, which was established in 2012, has headquarters and a support center in Bangalore, India. The company offers a full range of web hosting services - including free hosting, Virtual Private Server (VPS) options, and support for WordPress, Joomla, and Drupal hosting - alongside web design and domain registration offerings. By launching Pepsite the company simplifies the process required to develop a website using its services.
A ‘drag-and-drop’ editor, Pepsite is recognized as the first of its kind on the market. It differs from other website builders in that it can be used through any device. Whereas other devices require a PC, Pepsite can be utilized using a mobile phone or other handheld devices. Websites are developed using one of a range of templates that determine a site’s look and feel, and content can be easily added to create the finished item.
Pepsite will be a boon to India’s 400 million mobile Internet users, many of whom access the internet through a smartphone rather than a PC. A basic version of solution is available free of charge to Starthosting’s customers. "We have developed Pepsite for the people of India and for anyone willing to pursue business online,” explained the Managing Director of Starthosting, Joeri Borstlap. “Our main goal is to make it easy to create digital identity, and help to take the first steps in going online successfully."
