Web Host Web.com Announces Support for Small Businesses
Web host Web.com has announced support for small businesses. As its name implies, Web.com is one of the internet’s original providers. With headquarters in Jacksonville, Florida, United States, the company was established in 1997. Its services target smaller businesses and the company offers the Internet services they need to “compete and succeed online”.

Part of the Web.com Group, Inc., which includes a number of hosting providers and domain registrars, Web.com offers “subscription-based solutions” that include website design, Search Engine Optimization (SEO), online marketing and sales and social media solutions alongside ecommerce and mobile solutions. Around 40% of businesses in the United States operate without a website and Web.com offers services that aim to address this and other related issues.

The company has partnered with the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) in the United States. SBDC is an organization that educates small businesses for free. Web.com has around 3.5 million customers in the United States and it has organized the “Web.com Tour” which lets companies know exactly what support is available to them, including SBDC support.

"America's SBDC is in exactly the same business as Web.com, but we are coming at it through colleges and universities partnering with SBA," suggested Tee Rowe, the President and CEO of SBDC. "The whole idea is to get assistance to small businesses so they can increase their revenue and expand."
