Webhosting UK is offering MTvScan - a new website scanning tool designed to guard websites against a range of online threats.
Established in 2001, and with headquarters in Leeds, United Kingdom, Webhosting UK bills itself as a “one-stop destination” for all web hosting requirements including domain name registration and services that include cloud hosting, reseller hosting, VPS and ecommerce hosting. Its new “Malware Trojan Vulnerability Scan” solution provides protection against a range of online threats including SQL injections and XSS vulnerabilities. MTvScan will be especially useful for Joomla and Wordpress users as these solutions are vulnerable to ‘server side’ attacks.
MTvScan tool has a web-based interface that allows users to schedule scans or run them manually. When complete, the system sends users a report based on the information it garnered during a scan. Webhosting UK is offering a number of cost effective MTvScan packages with monthly and fortnightly packages priced at £2.99 ($4.6) and £6.93 ($10.69) per month respectively. Daily scans are available in packages that start at £8.99 ($13.88) per month with no contract.
