November 21, 2005 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – In what is certainly one of the most curious announcements made in recent years, a press release purportedly provided by New York web hosting company Weblinkhosting.com (http://www.weblinkhosting.com) suggests it intends to legally adopt a child. The announcement went on to suggest the child will ‘live at the company’s data center and be provided with food, clothing, shelter and love from the owner and employees’.
Akin to the plot of the 1998 Jim Carrey film, ‘The Truman Show’ (where a child was adopted by a film company), the announcement goes on to suggest that Weblinkhosting.com is 6 months into the adoption process with the outcome looking promising. It added that when the child was old enough he/she would become the company’s logo. The nationality of the child is yet to be decided and its sex will be determined with the ‘flip of a coin’.
HostSearch.com has contacted the management of Weblinkhosting.com in a bid to confirm the validity of this announcement, but as of yet has not received a reply. Any reply received will certainly be published.
