October 9, 2006 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – San Francisco based web hosting provider Bonphire (http://www.bonphire.com) has added a text messaging / SMS feature to its suite of product offerings, it was announced recently. The offering comes as an upgrade to the company’s web based email product.

Bonphire’s Webmail now allows users to send messages directly to mobile phones capable of receiving text messaging / SMS. Bonphire customers access their web-based email and a new drop-down menu provides options to send email, a text message, or both. Users must add appropriate telephone numbers to their address books. Bonphire’s system allows users to keep within the 160 character limit required by mobile phones.

Bonphire offers a range of web hosting plans which offer a number of web based business operations. The company’s services are hosted at their world-class data center and they take pride in the fact they “own, operate and support” the services they provide “down to the very last cable and disk”. The company’s addition of a text messaging / SMS feature is seen as a natural extension to the company’s customer services.
