Web Hosting Provider Cartika Hosting Introduces Continuous Data Protection

July 2, 2007
July 2, 2006 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Web hosting provider Cartika Hosting (http://www.cartikahosting.com) has introduced Continuous Data Protection measures for customers, it was announced recently. The company has facilitated the move through a new site license agreement with R1Soft (http://www.r1soft.com/). The service will be available to both the company’s Linux and Windows customers.

R1Soft's Continuous Data Protection technology creates daily backups and provides access to up to 30 previous restore points, including individual files or and tables in an SQL database. These will be accessible through a specially developed interface in their H-Sphere web hosting control panel and provided at no extra cost.

"We're providing our clients with access to an entire month of file revisions. In essence, site owners or developers can choose to restore something as granular as an individual file or as large as their entire root directory. This access will ultimately prove to be invaluable," explained Cartika Hosting’s CEO, Mr. Andrew Rouchotas. "This value-add technology helps bring our service to the next level."

"Our Continuous Data Protection solutions allow companies like Cartika Hosting to securely and affordably protect important data against loss and unintended modification. As regulatory requirements for data handling continue to increase, and businesses depend more than ever on servers to store their mission-critical data, the demand for this data protection technology will continue to grow," added R1Soft’s CEO, Mr. David Wartell. "We are excited to provide this technology to Cartika Hosting and its clients."
