Web Hosting Provider Daily.co.uk Launches Free PC Back-up Client

February 11, 2008
February 11, 2008 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Web hosting provider Daily.co.uk (http://daily.co.uk/) has launched a free PC back-up client, the company announced today. The solution will allow the company’s customers to back up data to a secure data center.

Daily.co.uk’s back-up client works with the company’s DailyDrive online storage system to “securely back-up customers’ valuable documents, photos, and music from their PCs”. The solution utilizes the highest level of encryption, with files being passed through a secure Internet connection to Daily.co.uk network. The network is also subject to daily back ups to provide extra protection. The back-up client runs in the background and provides full user control enabling users to choose which files to backup, frequency of backup and time of day. Backed up files are accessible through any Internet connected PC.

“People sometimes forget how valuable their data really is and only realize this when their PCs hard drive fails or if their PC is stolen or lost,” explained Daily.co.uk’s Managing Director, Abby Hardoon. “We heard of a case recently about someone who was in the midst of writing a book and had 2 years worth of work on her laptop. Unfortunately, the laptop was stolen and having never done a back-up of these files, these were lost forever. Think of the time and the cost to recover from this. With our Back-up Client, we are giving all our customers peace of mind and for free.”

Daily.co.uk bills itself as a second generation UK web hosting provider. The company provides web hosting, domain name registration and email services alongside website design and development.
