Web Hosting Provider FastNext Updates Frameworks

December 19, 2007
December 19, 2007 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Web hosting provider FastNext has updated two frameworks available to its hosting customers, it was reported recently. The company has upgraded .Net and Ruby-on-Rails to current versions. Every FastNext customer can get Rails 2.0 installed on request without cost.

Whereas the company’s Windows plans were once equipped with .Net version 3.0, the company has upgraded to Microsoft .Net 3.5. In addition, they have upgraded Rails to version 2.0. Rails 2.0 offers a large number of bug fixes, tweaks, and feature enhancements. The improvements include updates for Action Pack (Resources, Multiview, Record identification, and Security), for Action Mailer and for Active Record (Performance, Foxy fixtures), and enhanced ActiveSupport.

"We are convinced that our clients should have all up-to-date software they need.
So we couldn't deprive them the opportunity to use the advantages of the long-awaited framework updates," explained FastNext's CEO Serge Riabchuk.

FastNext offers a number of web hosting plans alongside VPS, reseller, and clustered options.
