GigeNet has met a major cPanel milestone, marking 15 years licensing the solution to customers. GigeNet, which has headquarters in Arlington Heights, Illinois, United States, was established in 1997. The company offers a broad range of products and services including dedicated servers, hybrid cloud, colocation, and data storage and backup solutions. It also offers ProxyShield – its proprietary scalable DDoS Protection service. The company is marking the milestone by ‘reinvesting’ in its relationship with cPanel.
cPanel is recognized as one of the web hosting industry’s leading control panels, enabling users to fully manage web hosting accounts, from managing bandwidth and disk space, to setting up email, FTP accounts and MySQL databases. Last year GigeNET launched a range of cPanel Managed Services solutions.
“cPanel has been so instrumental in the creation of the hosting industry I think you would be hard pressed to imagine the web host industry without it,” explained GigeNET’s President and Founder, Ameen Pishdadi. “A lot of what we do today, be it Cloud, or IaaS, or shared, has roots in how cPanel defined the industry.”
“cPanel is the industry standard for server control and defined the business model for our shared hosters,” added GigeNET’s Senior Vice Present (SVP) of Products, Joe De Paolo. “Furthermore, it is cPanel’s tiered resale-ability and ease of control that makes system administration and devops easy for the end user.”
