April 15, 2010
April 15, 2010 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Go Daddy, the world's largest domain name registrar and Web hosting provider, is sponsoring the NBC television network's National Heads-Up Poker Championship broadcast for a second consecutive year.

The tournament is set to begin on NBC Sunday and airs each consecutive Sunday through the final round, May 23. The competition pits 64 of the world's best poker players against each other in a distinctive, bracket-style, head-to-head tournament. Competitors are all vying for $1.5 million in combined prize money.

"If you like poker, NBC's 'Heads-Up Championship' has it all," said Go Daddy CEO and Founder Bob Parsons. "This tournament features some of the world's top competitors going head-to-head. For Go Daddy, this sponsorship keeps us in tune with an audience we know to be Internet savvy -- and hey, we get to cheer for our Go Daddy Girl too!"

Last year's tournament runner-up was Vanessa Rousso, Team PokerStars Pro and Go Daddy Girl, who competes again this year. Vanessa signed with Go Daddy the day before tournament play started last year and went on to dominate most every opponent she faced. In fact, the Go Daddy Girl made history as the first woman to ever reach the final round of NBC's National Heads-Up Poker Championship.

"We are excited, to say the least, to have Go Daddy back as our presenting sponsor of the National Heads-Up Championship again this year," said NBC Sports Executive Vice President Jon Miller. "It's great to have a cutting-edge technology leader like Go Daddy involved with our premier poker event."

During the broadcast, Go Daddy is set to debut an edgy poker-themed commercial starring Vanessa called "Teacher." It's a thirty-second GoDaddy-Esque ad packed with poker innuendos. The Go Daddy Girl is also helping to 'teach' others how to improve their game with her own "Hot Tips for Winning Poker," which are Go Daddy produced videos available online at GoDaddy.com/Vanessa.

Go Daddy offers domain names, Web sites and everything* in between to help people and businesses develop their online presence, including Web hosting, SSL Certificates and Email Marketing tools, all backed by Go Daddy's 24/7 customer support.
