December 21, 2005
December 21, 2005 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – According to the Blog Herald (http://www. blogherald.com) there are more than 100 million individuals and businesses involved in blogging and interest does not appear to be subsiding. Recognizing this trend, and to enable its customers to benefit from blogging capabilities, web hosting provider GoDaddy.com (http://www.godaddy.com) has announced it is offering ‘Quick Blog’ with every domain name purchase, transfer or renewal.

Discussing the move Go Daddy Founder and President Bob Parsons suggested, "I started my blog, www.bobparsons.com, last year to communicate to the world about our Super Bowl commercial. Readers asked about the application I used, so we decided to offer it to every single customer who registers, renews or transfers a domain."

The Quick Blog application offered by GoDaddy.com has a range of features which include customizable templates, image and audio upload capabilities, user management (IP banning, etc.), instant automatic updates, RSS Feeds, a mailing list, survey and site statistics. Each blogger will be ad-supported with relevant advertising but will not include pop up ads. "As the popularity of blogging explodes, we want to give our customers an easy way to try it for themselves without spending a lot of money," said Parsons.
