Web Hosting Provider GoDaddy.com Pay Big Money to Winners in The "Go Daddy Commercial Contest"

September 14, 2010
September 14, 2010 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Go Daddy is looking for television commercials that drive viewers to the Internet and Go Daddy is going to pay big money to winners in the "Go Daddy Commercial Contest: Summer Edition."

- Grand Prize = $250,000
- Runner-up = $150,000
- 3rd Prize = $75,000
- 5 Honorable Mentions worth $25,000 each
- Special "Campaign Bonus" offered = $100,000

"People ask me why I'd offer so much money - it's simple, money is an outstanding motivator," said Go Daddy CEO and Founder Bob Parsons.

Parsons is the mastermind behind Go Daddy's legendary Super Bowl advertising campaigns, which critics love to hate, but which have also been highly effective. Say what you will, but the controversial ads have helped brand Go Daddy, now the world's largest Web hosting provider and top domain name registrar.

So what is a GoDaddy-esque commercial? As coined by the media, the term refers to ads that are fun, edgy and slightly inappropriate.

"We love commercials that are entertaining - ads that will make viewers want to log on to their computers to see the Internet-Only version at GoDaddy.com," Parsons said. "They aren't the easiest concepts to create, but it's the kind of ad that has worked in spades for Go Daddy."

Parsons is the sole judge for the contest. Entries must be in by September 30th. Winners will be announced a few weeks later. Commercial contest entries must include a thirty-second broadcast commercial and an accompanying Internet-Only version.
