July 29, 2006 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Web hosting provider Hosted Solutions (http://www.hostedsolutions.com) has completed an SAS 70 Type II Audit with each of the company’s data center’s (Raleigh, Cary and Charlotte) meeting audit requirements, the company announced recently.
“It is a great achievement and testament to our dedication to providing only the highest standards of service to our customers that Hosted Solutions has concluded our SAS 70,” suggested Rich Lee, CEO of Hosted Solutions. “SAS 70 has become the industry standard for data center controls and compliance and we are thrilled to have completed the process all the way through a Type II report.”
The SAS (Statement on Auditing Standards No.70) was developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) to measure the effectiveness of a company’s internal controls. An SAS 70 Type I report describes a company’s controls while a Type II report includes detailed testing of those controls over a period of six months. The standard was created in 998 and has received widespread adoption.
