PEER 1 Hosting has announced a successful PCI audit which has enabled its London and Los Angeles data centers to remain PCI compliant. The achievement means the company now has six PCI compliant data centers in various locations around the world.
Established in 1999, Vancouver, Canada-based PEER 1 Hosting is a Cogeco Cable Inc. subsidiary specializing in managed and dedicated server hosting, colocation, and cloud services. The company boasts a 10Gbps FastFiber Network(tm) connected by 20 data centers and caters to over 13,000 customers globally. Its European operations are headquartered in Southampton, United Kingdom.
PCI audits are conducted where companies need to meet Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (or PCI DSS) standards. These particularly apply to companies that store credit card details such as those in financial services and ecommerce sectors. PEER 1 Hosting has a dedicated security team that ensures continued PCI compliance for the company's solutions and services, which in turn makes it easier for the company's customers to achieve PCI compliance.
