March 31, 2006 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Web hosting provider Rackspace (http://www.rackspace.co.uk) has gained the destinction of making the Sunday Times list of 100 best small companies to work for. The UK-based managed hosting specialist ranked 6th in the annual survey.

Discussing the survey Dominic Monkhouse, Managing Director of Rackspace Managed Web Hosting suggested,”This award is testimony to the fact that investment in employees is critical to business success, particularly in a business built on delivering fanatical customer service. Rackspace is one of the top ten best places to work in the country and this award reflects that. When Rackspace submitted its award entry, the judges were suspicious of its 97% response rate. As soon as they came to the offices and saw the team at work they saw why the figure was so high. It’s great to see that Rackspace’s dedication to finding and nurturing the right people for the job is paying off.”

Rackspace provides staff with a number of benefits which include a crèche, a games room, ‘massage days’ and flexible working hours. The survey suggested 70% of the company’s employees regard Rackspace as a “dream job.” 91% of the workforce suggested they ‘love’ working at Rackspace. 83% of employees thought highly of their managers highly and 88% said they “live” the values of the organization which provides “Fanatical Support” to customers.

Sunday Times bases its awards on an employee questionnaire which covers employee opinions on issues such as ‘wellbeing’ and ‘prospects for personal growth’. The results are collected and kept confidential by the newspaper.
