October 31, 2006
October 31, 2006 - (HOSTSEARCH.COM) - Web hosting provider StreamlineNet has warned its customers about a “new wave” of phishing emails being sent to them. Bulk email purporting to be from StreamlineNet and requesting confirmation of a range of details (including passwords) is being circulated causing recipients to reveal access details.

Once armed with access details fraudsters are able to access hosting and email accounts which may contain information that can be used to commit identity fraud and other illegal activities. StreamlineNet is asking its customers to be “extra cautious” as far as their email is concerned.
StreamlineNet hosts over 90,000 domain names for over 60,000 customers and add around 200 domains to their servers every day. The company was established in 1999 and is recognized as one of the fastest growing budget hosts in the UK.
