May 29, 2007 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Web hosting provider XO Communications Inc. is leveraging the services provided by Jamcracker Inc. to offer customers a range of hosted applications as part of its suite of services, the company announced recently. The hosted applications will include Microsoft Exchange email, BlackBerry hosted services, McAfee security for small businesses, Microsoft SharePoint and Arsenal Digital Solutions desktop backup.
XO Communications’ expansion of its offerings will take place later this year moving the company beyond the web hosting or virtual private networking services it had previously focused on. The move comes in response to the typically multifaceted nature of small- and medium-sized businesses, suggests XO’s Vice President of Small Business Services, Mr. Charlie Cary. "As technology changes, a lot of them are frustrated with having to invest in new servers and spend time with it," he said. "We're thinking they're going to embrace the opportunity for a one-stop shop to handle all this." XO’s new offerings will cater for users with “under 100 employees”,
Mr. Cary suggested. Additional services will be added in the near future.
