August 16, 2006 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Web hosting provider XO Communications (http://www.xo.com) has announced the launch of a protection system suitable for corporate-level email which provides businesses with “increased email security and optimal mail server performance”.
XO’s service, known as Perimeter Email Protection (PEP), is designed to protect businesses from “spam, email viruses and denial of service attacks”. Other features of XO’s PEP service include “User Validation” for incoming emails and a range of daily reports.
