January 9, 2007
January 9, 2007 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Web Hosting Provider XSI Hosting (http://www.xsihosting.com) announced today it has launched new Windows and Linux web hosting plans, partnered with ScanAlert to offer PCI Compliance scanning and is offering HackerSafe certification.

The company, a subsidiary of Xanadu Servers, Inc., who to date has only provided hosting for local hosting customers, is offering a range of plans which have been “in development for the past six months” and “cater to a wide variety of users, including end-users, small to medium sized businesses, and hosting resellers”. Linux plans offer a cPanel or Plesk control panel while Windows plans offer Plesk. Plans also feature ScanAlert’s HackerSafe scanning which provides daily vulnerability testing and visual verification to website visitors.

“We have made it a priority to serve a broad spectrum of clients, even initially. Our offering of over twelve shared plans and twelve reseller plans reflects that commitment,” explained Larry Stevens, the Founder and CEO of XSI Hosting parent company, Xanadu Servers, Inc.

XSI Hosting will cater to online merchants by offering ScanAlert Payment Card Industry (PCI) Compliance scanning, a service that allows hosting customers to accept and process credit cards on their websites. PCI Compliance is a security standard required by all major credit card companies which must be met in order to process credit cards.

“PCI Compliance scanning is an emerging requirement in the card service industry that will eventually proliferate to all online merchants,” added Mr. Stevens. “By offering this service, we enable our customers to securely and safely process credit card payments on their own websites. That’s obviously a significant competitive advantage.”
