November 24, 2008 (HOSTSEARCH.COM) Webeden.co.uk (http://www.webeden.co.uk), the free service that lets you build your own website, recently launched free email for Webeden domain names. Anyone who has bought or transferred a domain to Webeden.co.uk can send and receive emails on that domain without having to pay.
The full email service (http://www.webeden.co.uk) allows customers to set up 5 mailboxes on each domain. The mailboxes can be accessed via webmail so that users can send and receive email from any computer connected to the Internet. They also support POP3 and IMAP, which allows customers to use their email service with an email client such as Outlook or Thunderbird, applications that sit on users desktops. Each mailbox can have an unlimited number of names that go to the same mailbox, often called aliases. Customers can also set up email forwarding to another email address such as a hotmail or gmail account.
Thousands of people have built a website using the Webeden.co.uk service. But many of them have stuck to their original free email address, from hotmail, gmail or even their ISP, said the companys MD Ken Builder recently. It always looks strange to me when someones website address and email address arent the same. Many people kept their original email because they didnt want the expense of a personalized email address, or they didnt know how to set up one up. Weve solved both those problems here. The email service is free, and the set up can be done in less than five clicks of a mouse - it couldnt be easier.
