Tech Data Corporation (Tech Data) has announced the launch of a cloud-based solution designed for Small to Medium-sized Businesses (SMBs). Tech Data, which has headquarters in Clearwater, Florida, United States, was established in 1974. The company bills itself as “one of the world's largest wholesale distributors of technology products, services and solutions” and specializes in providing a single point of purchase for the world’s technology resellers. Tech Data’s latest solution represents an “all-in-one service” to meet SMBs requirements.
Leveraging Microsoft Azure, the ‘Small Business Cloud Server’ is available to Tech Data’s partners through its Tech Data Cloud business. The solution meets SMBs requirements for cost-effective and scalable IT platforms that are easy to operate. Three versions of the solution are available - one for 1-6 users, another for 7-20 users, and a final version that cater for 40 or more users. Set up in minutes, the solution provides resellers with monthly usage and billing details via StreamOne, an end-to-end provisioning, billing and marketing engine. Alongside a Microsoft Azure virtual machine, the solution offers access to Microsoft Office 365 software and facilitates backup, storage and VPN functionality with an optional remote access desktop.

"Many users have already migrated to Microsoft Office 365, and there is a massive opportunity now for resellers to move small business servers onto the Microsoft Azure platform”.
