Wholesale web services platform and Hostopia Australia has acquired web host
Panthur. Hostopia Australia is the recently registered Australian arm of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, United States-based provider Hostopia. A “wholesale web services platform” Hostopia is a subsidiary of Deluxe Corporation and specializes in offering companies the “products and services they need to run a successful business”. These include services for websites, domain registration, email, ecommerce and online marketing. Financial aspects of its acquisition of Panthur have not been released.
Panthur, which has headquarters in Melbourne, Australia, offers “premium and reliable Australian web hosting and domain services for businesses and individuals”. The company’s services extend to domain registration and reseller options. It was established in 2009. Panthur will be absorbed by Hostopia Australia and customers will benefit from seamless transition of services. Remone Tawadros will head the company post acquisition with founder Adam Seliman stepping down from the position.
"We'll certainly be keeping all sites hosted locally in Australia, and at this point don't have any plans to move member sites onto new hardware, although we do hope to add upgraded hardware in the future and expand on our product offering and performance," explained Mr. Tawadros.
