Everleap has announced the launch of Managed SQL Server 2016 hosting options. Everleap, which has headquarters in Pasadena, California, United States, bills itself as a “12 year old startup”. The company has been created by the team involved in DiscountASP.NET, which launched in 2003. It represents a move away from the “traditional web server platform” and towards modern cloud technology. Everleap has enhanced its database services to offer private servers with the latest SQL Server 2016.
SQL Server is designed to cater for businesses that use multi-tenant SaaS applications and host a large number of databases. Additionally it caters to businesses with large SQL databases and those requiring custom SQL server configurations. Everleap’s expandable Managed SQL plans offer “set CPU core configurations” and feature two “base plans”, each with 4 CPU cores or 8 CPU cores. Users can also choose between SQL Server 2016, 2014 or 2012, and benefit from 200 GB storage. Alongside free migration, Everleap’s options include updates, security patching, server maintenance and ongoing technical support. Users can also choose the amount of RAM they require.
“We launched managed SQL last year and we are excited to add the option of the recently released SQL Server 2016 technology,” explained Everleap’s VP Marketing and Business Development, Takeshi Eto. “Customers can take advantage of new features in SQL Server 2016 like stretch database to enable hybrid hosting scenarios, and temporal tables and native JSON support. Our Managed SQL delivers the power of dedicated SQL servers but is more cost-effective. It’s fully managed without additional fees and it’s easy to use like shared SQL hosting,” he added.
