WordCamp Montréal will take place August 10-11, 2019. Held at the John Molson School of Business in Montréal, Canada, the two-day event will focus on WordPress - the Content Management System (CMS) that underpins around 25% of all websites currently on the Internet. The event will feature discussions and workshops in both English and French alongside a range of networking opportunities.
WordPress is an open source solution available as a free download. The software features a range of free and paid plugins that change the functionality of a website, alongside free and commercial templates that change its look and feel. WordCamp Montréal will bring together “developers, designers, web professionals, and bloggers” - in fact anyone with an interest in WordPress. Talks will be provided by “experts in blogging, marketing, SEO, theme-building, plugin development, and freelancing” and will be followed by ‘Questions and Answer’ sessions.
“Anyone who’s working with WordPress in any way can enjoy WordCamp,” explained the event website. “ If you’ve got a company website that you’d like to take to the next level, this is a great place to gain new ideas and see what others are doing. If, on the other hand, you’re a seasoned developer, we’ve got talks on new and shiny tools such as React, Gulp, Rich Snippets, and more. Along with sessions on how to make your workflows better, how to troubleshoot sites, and how to customize WooCommerce”.
