Nexcess is to sponsor WordCamp Ann Arbor 2016. Nexcess, which was founded in 2000, has headquarters in Southfield, Michigan, United States. The company provides a range of services extending to shared hosting, Virtual Private Servers (VPS), dedicated servers, server clusters and co-location. It has particular expertise in Open Source (OS) solutions like WordPress, ExpressionEngine, and Magento. The Nexcess’ sponsorship of WordCamp Ann Arbor 2016 will directly support the regional WordPress community.
WordPress allows users with no coding skills to develop even the most complex of websites. Originally a blogging solution, it has blossomed into the Internet’s leading website software, with close to 20% of the planet’s sites underpinned by the solution. It is supported by a community that develops commercial and non-commercial themes and addons that change the look, feel and functionality of a website. WordCamps are “informal community events, organized by local WordPress users” that are designed to enable the WordPress community to share its passion and expertise. WordCamp Ann Arbor 2016 will take place at the Michigan Rackham Graduate Building in Ann Arbor, Michigan, United States on October 14-15, 2016.
