January 9, 2006 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Jan 6, 2006 saw Yahoo! Inc. announce the launch of Yahoo! Go (http://go.yahoo.com), a range of Yahoo! products accessible through mobile, TV and desktop. Yahoo! CEO Terry Semel featured the launch in his keynote speech at the 2006 Consumer Electronics Show (CES).

"Yahoo! Go allows us to free the best of what the Internet has to offer from the confines of the browser and provides consumers fast and easy access to the essential products and services they know and love," said Semel. "Yahoo! is well positioned to provide a seamlessly connected experience that delivers the services our hundreds of millions of loyal users want -- whenever, wherever and however they want to connect."

Yahoo! Go services utilize functionality available on a range of devices to offer customers access to the Internet content they require. Yahoo! Go services allow someone to take a photo with their camera phone and then immediately view it on their computer, television or mobile phone through Yahoo! Photos. Yahoo! Go Mobile offers mobile phone users real-time connectivity and access to web-based information and content services alongside communications services such as email, messaging, address book and calendar applications. Yahoo! Go TV will enable users to access a huge range of content through their television sets and Yahoo! Go Desktop offers applications that will enable users to gather the information they need without opening a browser on their personal computer.

"Yahoo! Go will make consumers' personally relevant information available to them anytime across their mobile phone, TV or personal computer," said Marco Boerries, senior vice president, Connected Life, Yahoo!. "By making Yahoo! Go open, we are giving consumers the ability to easily access not only the Yahoo! services they find most vital, but also the universe of information available from across the web."
