April 20, 2005 - (HOSTSEARCH.COM) - Following Yahoos move into the web hosting industry the search portal giant has launched Yahoo! Small Business (http://smallbusiness.yahoo.com) to provide essential online small business services and content. Yahoo! Small Business is aiming to integrate their web hosting solutions with business critical services and information that enable small businesses sell and market online.
To promote their small business service solutions and web hosting services they have published the results of a survey about small businesses which shows that 72 percent of American adults have considered starting their own businesses and 75 percent said the Internet has made it easier to launch a small business.
"For many people, entrepreneurship is a cornerstone of their vision of the American dream. Fortunately, continuing innovation in technology, and particularly the Internet, has helped make starting a business more attainable than ever before," said Rich Riley, vice president and general manager, Yahoo! Small Business. Riley, a former entrepreneur whose business was acquired by Yahoo!, leads the division of Yahoo! that powers more than 30,000 online stores. Yahoo!'s award-winning portfolio of small business services includes solutions for Web hosting, domain names, business email, and e-commerce.
