July 12, 2006 (HOSTSEARCH.COM) Web hosting provider Advanced Internet Technologies (AIT) has developed a comprehensive suite of security products, the company announced recently. The suite of products includes an enterprise level firewall, intrusion detection and protection.
A lot of companies treat security issues with an it wont happen to me attitude; then something happens to them, explained Clarence Briggs, AITs Chief Executive Officer. Thats why we have put a premium on products and services that stop attacks before they can spread through a network.
Alongside a firewall and intruder detection system, AITs suite also offers server monitoring for critical systems such as HTTP, SMTP load, FTP, a scanning service which establishes security flaws and the patches or service packs that can resolve them, and a rules-based anti-spam service. According to the company the move is part of a managed network so individual users do not incur the costs of hardware and installation, systems integration, or infrastructure upgrades.
We look at security from a network level; if an issue threatens one customer, chances are it has the capability to threaten many, so this is security as part of infrastructure, added Mr. Briggs. For a customer, its a low-cost no-risk means of keeping pace with an ever-evolving part of doing business online.
