Canadian Domain Registrar Sibername Announces New Domain Offerings
Canadian domain registrar Sibername has announced the launch of new domain offerings. Sibername has headquarters in Ontario, Canada and was established in 2000. The company offers a range of web hosting and domain name services alongside services like Google's G-Suite. It specializes in catering to small businesses and individuals and its options include reseller and WordPress hosting alongside email solutions. The company is now offering a batch of new domains with extensions (gTLDs) that include .online and .tech.

Whereas once domain names only offered the .com, .net and .org extensions, there is now a plethora of extensions available that better reflect geographical region and the type of business a company does. The new extensions also go so far as to cover areas like pastimes and hobbies. While they are immediately accessible, giving a visitor a clearer idea of the type of content they can expect to see on a website, many believe the new extensions also offer Search Engine Optimization (SEO) benefits.

As of 2017 there are around 880 domain name extensions available. ICANN, CIRA and Eurid registered Sibername now supports and offers domains offered by Radix. Alongside .online and .tech these include .store, .site, .website, .space, .press, .host and .fun. Sibername's .store domain names are available for only $19.95 while .online domains cost only $10.95. The company "is also running special pricing that customers can benefit from until January 31, 2018".
