October 13, 2008 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Canadian web host Cirrus Tech Ltd. (http://www.cirrushosting.com) is planning to offer Hosted Exchange and SharePoint services, it was announced recently. The company, which bills itself as “one of Canada's largest web hosting companies”, will “provide existing clients with a more robust email service in addition to attracting new clients with their full-featured and competitively priced Hosted Exchange and SharePoint plans”.
“It’s been a long time coming,” explained Mr. Ehsan Mirdamadi, CEO of Cirrus Tech. “Much like the web hosting industry, we realize the competitiveness of the Hosted Exchange business. We didn’t want to bring to market our services until we felt strongly that it was among the best Hosted Exchange offerings in North America. We have taken steps to ensure that our services will match, and in some aspects exceed, the current Hosted Exchange and SharePoint services available today.”
Cirrus Tech has made “significant investment” in developing Hosted Exchange and SharePoint services, deciding to utilize new Dell Blade Servers for “increased stability and energy efficiency”. Cirrus Tech hosted Exchange offering will be protected by R1Soft’s Continuous Data Protection (CDP) software while “BlackBerry and Good Mobile Services along with the ActiveSync will ensure that clients can connect to their Exchange data from their mobile device”. ETA for the services is fall 2008.
