Cloud Company iomart Selects Arbor Networks for Infrastructure Protection
Cloud company iomart has selected Arbor Networks to provide it with infrastructure protection services. The deal will involve Arbor Networks protecting iomart against Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks.

Based in Burlington, Massachusetts, Arbor Networks is recognised as being a leader in DDoS mitigation. The company caters to a range of cloud, hosting and service providers, offering its Peakflow SP platform to protect their services from botnets, and "volumetric" and "application-layer" DDoS threats.

Peakflow is comprised of 2 key features, Peakflow SP and the Peakflow Threat Management System. Combined the systems underpin numerous cloud-based DDoS managed security services. They automatically detect anomalies to provide "TMS’s carrier-class threat management". They also recognize traffic generated by an attack and "surgically" remove it without impacting genuine traffic.

“Everything we’ve built at iomart, from our world-class infrastructure to our dedicated 24×7 support team, starts with the availability of our services," explained iomart's CEO, Angus MacSween. "DDoS has become a primary threat to availability, especially within an infrastructure environment like ours where multiple enterprise customers exist side-by-side. That’s why we’ve chosen to be proactive and deploy the world’s leading DDoS mitigation technology from Arbor Networks.”
