Cloud computing and internet connectivity provider CommPoint IT is to utilize the services of UK provider
iomart and its portfolio of services. CommPoint IT, which has headquarters in Southwark, a borough of London in the United Kingdom, is “an established provider of cloud computing, internet connectivity and VOIP telephony solutions”. Aside from London, the company has offices in Brighton and Guildford in the south east of the UK. The company caters to local government organizations, educational institutions, and small- to medium-sized businesses and chose iomart because it needed a cloud partner able to “supply its solutions from secure data centres located in the UK”.
Iomart has headquarters in Glasgow, Scotland, United Kingdom and was established in 1998. The company’s services include Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Azure public cloud-based managed cloud services, private clouds, hybrid clouds, data center services, colocation, and domain registration. iomart is an ISO accredited provider that owns and operates eight data centers located around the United Kingdom. CommPoint IT will resell iomart's enterprise cloud services and connectivity offerings.
"We take care to select only the strongest partners who have a proven track record to help us support our customers,” explained CommPoint IT’s Managing Director Steven Jackson. “We wanted a new cloud and connectivity partner that hosts everything in secure UK data centres that it directly owns, and one that could supply its solutions at a good price point. iomart does all of this."
"CommPoint are a fast growing managed services provider and it's fantastic that they see the value of having iomart as their cloud partner to help them grow,” added iomart’s Channel Sales Manager, Michael Ruddick. “Working with iomart helps CommPoint address the growing shift to as-a-Service in the market place, whilst allowing them to focus on strategically transforming their customers' ICT services."
