Cloud Managed Services Provider Velocity Enjoys Substantial Growth
Cloud managed services provider Velocity Technology Solutions Inc. (Velocity) is currently enjoying the benefits of substantial growth. Velocity, which has headquarters in Charlotte, North Carolina, United States, was established in 2003. The company bills itself as “a leader in enterprise and business application services” which are “fully-managed and protected within a virtual private, public or hybrid cloud”. Alongside managed options its services extend to Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) and disaster recovery options. The company has had a “record-breaking first quarter 2018” and the news comes alongside its strategic acquisition of the Mercury Technology Group.

Velocity’s improvements have come in terms of new customer acquisitions, cloud migrations, enhanced revenues and bookings, and “overall growth”. The growth enjoyed in the first quarter of 2018 mirrors that experienced in the last quarter of 2017. 2017 closed “with an outstanding fourth quarter that posted 40% year-over-year sales growth”. The company also recorded growth for four quarters in a row. The first quarter of 2018 produced 60% year-over-year growth for the company.

“Our enterprise customers need to maximize application performance and control costs,” explained Velocity’s Executive Vice President of Global Sales, Marketing and Alliances, Chris Gartner. “As a trusted cloud advisor with hybrid qualifications, Velocity is the ideal cloud managed services provider. Our Cloud Migration Factory harnesses VCAMP provisioning, automation, and orchestration at scale, delivering agile, cost efficient cloud managed workloads necessary for today’s enterprises.”
