Cloud Services Provider HostPapa Acquires Canvas Host
Cloud services provider HostPapa has acquired web host Canvas Host. HostPapa, which has headquarters in Burlington, Ontario, Canada, was established in 2006. The company’s services include traditional web hosting alongside Virtual Private Server (VPS), reseller, and WordPress hosting options alongside a website builder option. It also provides automated website backup, ecommerce, email marketing, and SSL certificate services.

HostPapa has a strong focus on Small and Medium-size Businesses (SMBs) and offers secure, green solutions that leverage renewable energy to protect the environment. Its acquisition of Canvas Host is an extension of an aggressive expansion policy. Canvas Host has global headquarters in Portland, Oregon, United States. The company offers a range of hosting options for “personal, business, and non-profit needs”. These include web and reseller hosting, dedicated servers, domain registration options, and email services, also with a focus on renewable energy.

As the companies both support small businesses and the environment, HostPapa regards its acquisition of Canvas Host as “a natural step”. It gives Canvas Host customers “access to enhanced infrastructure and a wide portfolio of fully-featured cloud services” and HostPapa’s world-class support services.

“We are excited to welcome the Canvas Host customers to our HostPapa family,” explained Jamie Opalchuk, the CEO of HostPapa. “We would also like to extend our appreciation to David and Angela Anderson for building such a great company with passionate and loyal customers,” he added.
