July 26, 2007 (HOSTSEARCH.COM) Windows web hosting provider CrystalTech Web Hosting (http://www.crystaltech.com) will launch a beta version of a hosting plan featuring Microsoft's .NET framework version 3.5, at the end of July, it was reported yesterday. Although the final version of the solution is some months away, and the upcoming .NET framework release contains bug fixes and updates, it also offers a number of new assemblies and technologies that developers have been looking forward to receiving.
"CrystalTech prides itself as one of the premiere Microsoft partners specializing in Windows web hosting," explained the President of CrystalTech, Mr. Robert Cichon. "We have been part of the Beta program with Microsoft and .NET since day one, and we were one of the first, if not THE first, to have a full-fledged web site management application based on the .NET framework. Our WebControlCenter is a prime example of the reliability, stability and security you can get when using the .NET framework."
The new .NET version features AJAX and LINQ for C# and VB. It also offers enhancements to the tool sets that will help ease building applications using Windows Presentation Foundation, Windows Workflow Foundation and Windows Communication Foundation. CrystalTechs .NET 3.5 beta hosting plans will be available free of charge for a limited period. The company is also considering offering .NET 3.5 on Windows Server 2008 and IIS7 as a separate beta plan.
"The future is now," continued Mr. Cichon. "Even though Microsoft is still a few months away from having a release to market of its next generation server OS and platform, there's no reason people can't start seeing what is on the horizon. This is a great way for those who are unfamiliar with our reputation for providing first-rate hosting solutions with the highest levels of service and support to try us out.
"CrystalTech was founded by developers and for developers, concluded Mr. Cichon. Catering to that market and following that business plan has served us well for the past ten years; there's no reason to stop now.
