DreamHost has introduced new capabilities for Remixer, its AI-powered website and web application builder, giving users additional options for creating, editing and customizing websites.
The update adds a gallery of complete website designs, multilingual site creation and a Visual Editor, expanding the ways customers can begin and modify projects. Users can select a pre-built design as a starting point, create a project from a blank prompt, or combine AI-assisted editing with direct visual changes.
Remixer customers can now browse a collection of complete site designs and preview a design before using it for a new project. Once selected, the site can be customized through conversational prompts, including changes to the design, rewriting content, adding pages and introducing new functionality.
The platform also supports website and web application creation in languages other than English. Users can start their conversation in their preferred language, with Remixer generating the resulting project in that language.
Alongside conversational editing, the new Visual Editor provides a more direct way to modify websites. Customers can make changes within the editor themselves or use Remixer's AI capabilities for more complex modifications.
“People have different ways of working, and we want Remixer to be as flexible as they need it to be,” said Ralph Castro, Senior Vice President of Product at DreamHost. “If you know what you want, you can describe it to Remixer. If you’d rather start with a design and make changes yourself, you can do that, too. AI should be useful when you need it without becoming the only way to build.”
The new features are included with Remixer plans and its 30-day free trial. The Remixer Build plan starts at $9.99 per month, and customers can begin the trial without providing a credit card.
