Hosting provider Web Werks
has launched a new ‘web portal’ for the Maharashtra Pollution Control Board. Established in 1996, Web Werks has headquarters in Mumbai, India. “One of the leading data center providers in India”, the company offers “carrier neutral” data center services through 5 Tier III and Tier IV data centers, including facilities in the United States. Its services extend to hosting services, cloud and VPS hosting, dedicated servers and colocation. Web Werks designed the new web portal and provides hosting services to support it.
The Maharashtra Pollution Control Board (MPCB) implements environmental legislation in the state of Maharashtra in India. The organization oversees legislation relating to water, biomedical waste, air pollution and hazardous waste. Web Werks’ portal promotes 'Ease of Doing Business' with the organization and allows new business to register with the body online. The aim of the site is to “minimize human interface and speed up the process of industrialization in Maharashtra”.
“We have launched this web portal to provide faster clearance and from now onwards, MPCB will unplug all its offline sanction processes," explained MPCB Member Secretary Dr. Anbalagan. "We have collaborated with many government bodies previously as well and we take pride to deliver our expertise to build innovative concepts that can bring change. Working with MPCB is a pleasure and we intend to deliver more of our services to them," added Web Werks’ CEO Nikhil Rathi. Do you know of any other web hosts providing services for local government?
