Hosting solutions provider
Atlantic.Net has added Internet Service Provider Cogent to its network.
In operation since 1994, Atlantic.Net specializes in offering colocation, cloud servers, dedicated servers and virtual hosting through a carrier neutral SSAE 16 (SOC 1) TYPE II-compliant data center infrastructure in Orlando, Florida. The data center includes a range of providers, including Level 3 Communications, TW Telecom, AT&T, Verizon, Windstream, FPL Fibernet, Bright House Networks, and now Cogent.
Cogent operates a Tier 1 optical IP network with a capacity of around 27,500 Gbps. The company is recognized as being one of the world's largest Internet Service Providers and its inclusion into Atlantic.Net's network of providers will enable it to cater for customers with continually increasing bandwidth requirements.
"Adding Cogent to our network is a great compliment to our infrastructure, which means more options and cost-effective bandwidth for our clients," explained Atlantic.Net's Director of Operations, Brett Haines. “We are always striving to find ways to make our service even more affordable, so that we can continue to provide the utmost value to our customers."
