Web host and Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) provider Hivelocity Hosting
(Hivelocity) has announced its bare-metal edge compute services are now available in Frankfurt, Germany. Established in 2002, Hivelocity has headquarters in Tampa, Florida, United States and offices in Atlanta, Georgia, New York and Los Angeles, California, United States. Alongside IaaS the company specializes in offering dedicated servers, colocation, disaster recovery, and Virtual Private Servers (VPS). Hivelocity will introduce bare-metal edge compute services to a number of areas in Europe and APAC, with Frankfurt the first.
Alongside Frankfurt, Hivelocity’s infrastructure services are available across the United States. The company has plans to introduce its latest offering to key European markets and in Singapore, Australia and Brazil. The platform enables the deployment of Linux and Windows dedicated servers in each location. Once deployed, users are able to view resource usage data and set up data recovery points. Users can also reload server operating systems and liaise with the company’s technical support staff. Hivelocity’s servers are available as ‘self-managed’ options, while managed options offer services like update and security patch installations.
“With customers hailing from over 130 countries, Hivelocity has long served a global market,” explained Ben Linton, the CTO of Hivelocity. “As our customers’ businesses have grown and matured, so have their needs to optimize and scale the performance of their applications all over the world. By enabling our customers to deploy their compute and storage resources wherever in the world their end users are best served, we are providing them with a much better opportunity to maximize the end user experience and their own bottom line.” Do you know of any other companies offering new packages?
